Fisheries
Baltic Sea 2023 TACs
Ministers will aim to reach a political agreement on the fixing of fishing opportunities for 2023 in the Baltic Sea. They will do so according to the objectives of the Common Fisheries Policy, the provisions of the Baltic Multiannual Plan, available scientific advice, and taking into account the socio-economic impact on the fisheries sector.
ICCAT Meeting 2022
Ministers will provide guidance to the Commission ahead of this year’s annual meeting of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) on 14-21 November.
Agriculture
Market situation
Ministers will exchange information on their respective agricultural market situation, especially in the context of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. They are expected to stress the high increase in input prices and the availability of fertilizers as impacting the production and producers across all sectors.
Trade-related agricultural issues
Ministers will provide guidance to the Commission to identify challenges and opportunities on international agricultural markets from possible multilateral and bilateral trade agreements, while ensuring the safeguard of the EU’s agricultural sector competitiveness.
