COVID19 outbreak effects on ICES work
Important information about the effects of COVID19 outbreak measures in Denmark on ICES work.
The health and safety of our staff and community are our primary concern. All meetings with external participants scheduled to take place at ICES Headquarters in Copenhagen until 31 October will be postponed/cancelled or organized via video conference.
Participants who have been invited to attend meetings at our Headquarters until 31 October will be informed that the meeting is being organized remotely, cancelled, or postponed until further notice.
We have also decided to postpone this year's Annual Science Conference (ASC) until next year. The next ASC will take place 6-9 September 2021 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Go to the ASC website for more information.
The Secretariat will continue to support our work and community, while we follow the guidelines by the Danish Authorities to work from home until 31 July, to the extent possible.
Our advisory services have adopted a spring 2020 approach to delivering advice for the first part of 2020.
We would like to thank our community and partners for their continuous support as we strive to deliver advice and science in this challenging time. The Secretariat together with the Advisory Committee and Science Committee leadership are working proactively to find creative solutions to continue to facilitate ICES work.
Please note that our meeting calendar may not be up-to-date. If you are in doubt about your meeting dates or have any other questions related to this, please contact ICES Secretariat via [email protected].
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
