Swedish offshore wind ambitions provide opportunities in our closest market
There is great interest from wind developers to build offshore wind parks with over 90 GW in the Swedish project pipeline.
Several projects have received Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) permits from the government, and the most mature projects are Kriegers Flak (640MW), Galene (400MW) and Kattegat Syd (1200MW).
Norwegian Offshore Wind is now escalating activities towards the closest geographical market for Norwegian supply chain companies. First stop is a market entry seminar.
The working group in Norwegian Offshore Wind targeting the Swedish marked is lead by Stein Erik Skilhagen from Norconsult.
-As our closest market and with the large project pipeline, Sweden provides great commercial opportunities for the whole Norwegian supply chain in offshore wind, Skilhagen, and points out:
-No projects have yet received FID, hence the need for early project competence is specially needed.
This is where Norwegian companies could contribute.
The Swedish wind association Svensk Vindenergi organizes Offshore Wind Forum on the 13th of June, where Norwegian supply chain companies could benefit from attending. Norwegian Offshore Wind will plan for a Visit NOW in connection with the conference.
