Despite an expected surge in prices, the sharp decline in availability will have a significant impact.

Executives from Norway's whitefish industry are offering bleak assessments after researchers recommended a 31 percent cut to the 2025 total allowable catch (TAC) of cod in the Barents Sea.
On Friday, Scientists from the Norwegian-Russian research group responsible for monitoring fish stocks recommended the a TAC of 311,587 metric tons in the Barents -- the lowest level in two decades -- citing a vastly reduced spawning stock.
The Norwegian-Russian Fisheries Commission, which jointly sets the quota, is expected to follow the TAC advice when it finalizes the quotas later this year.
